Typical details, not project designs
Every file on this site is a typical detail or library block. It has not been designed for your building, your system, your hazard classification or your authority having jurisdiction. Before using any file in drawings issued for approval or construction, a qualified engineer must check it against:
- the edition of each standard enforced on your project, such as NFPA standards and the Saudi Building Code;
- the requirements of the local authority, including Saudi Civil Defence, which may be stricter than the referenced standards;
- the project specification;
- the certified data of the equipment and materials actually selected.
Dimensions and figures
Where a drawing or page gives a dimension, spacing, size or clearance, confirm it independently before use. Code requirements vary with the edition of the standard, the product listing, the hazard classification and the local authority. The notes on each page point out where a figure depends on these factors, but they cannot cover every project.
Accuracy
Files are checked before publishing and errors are corrected when they are reported, but no guarantee is given that any file is complete, accurate or suitable for a particular purpose. If you find an error, please let us know so it can be fixed for everyone.
